Hello there, trust you are safe and doing well, hope you and your family are taking the precautionary measures as advised by WHO.

I’m sure you are trying to adapt to this sudden need to stay at home which is used as a means to curtail the spread of this pandemic that has brought the world to a stand still.

I’m not finding this abrupt holiday funny at all, and It may not be going down well with you (except you’ve always been a remote worker)

coronavirus

The most saddening part of it is that no one know how long this is going to last, making the most out of it is the reason I’m writing this. I’ll be sharing a couple of things you can do this period, to make good use of your free time (remember the idle hand is the devil’s work tool)

The reasons are:

1) Rethink
2) Strategic planning
3) Learning a new skill
4) Developing a new passion or improving on an existing one
5) Workout
6) Personal development
7) Prayer

1. Rethink:

This is the time to take a study of yourself, what you have achieved, your shortcomings. Look at where you are right now, is this where you intended being 5 years ago, if it’s good for you, if it isn’t, this is not the time to sulk about it.

All you need to do is ask yourself why, where did I miss it, what did I fail to do, once a problem is known the solution isn’t far fetched, if you have figured this out, we move on to the next one

2. Strategic planning:

What can you do so as to improve your present situation and guarantee am happy ending, I want you to take the highlighted problems or shortcomings and find ways you can improve on them.

You may have to rewrite, redefine, restart, re-strategize, do what you need to do but never give up on yourself and your goals. Remember your goals have to be:

  • SMART
  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Achievable
  • Realistic
  • Time-bound

3. Learn a new skill:

Since you have loads of time to yourself this might just be the best time to learn the new skill or language you have been postponing. It’s not enough to just learn a skill, but to learn one that’s relevant to the market, which can be an additional source of income.

Thank goodness! you are in the right place, here at QRT we offer a wide range of online courses, you can run at your own pace, (you can also read Why you need a side hustle)

4. Develop a new passion or improve on an existing one:

What are the things you like to do but haven’t been paying attention to, now is the time to give life to it. I’m a footballer but Covid 19 has restricted me to training in my room, I had to find another area of my life to work on.

Commit to improving on the abilities you have got on the inside, it can be your door to financial freedom, you never can tell.

5. Workout:

You been at home doesn’t mean your body has to suffer, there’s a greater tendency to gain weight, get some good sweat, kickstart your fitness journey once again, your body needs workout alongside food to stay in optimum condition.

Now is the time to work on that anger issue your spouse has been complaining about. Work on area you know you’re lacking, read books, spend time alone, forgive yourself, let go of hurts. Prepare yourself for your best life.

7. Pray:

We’ll all come out of this stronger πŸ’ͺ🏾πŸ’ͺ🏾πŸ’ͺ🏾
